All of the C200 drives connect through Serial ATA. Micron hasn't released prices but expects to ship drives between 32GB and 256GB in size during the fall; they should be available outside of pre-assembled computers and should also translate to Lexar storage devices at the same time.
Micron has also unveiled the RealSSD P200 series, a new line targeted at servers and other enterprise-grade uses where read and write speeds are more important than raw capacity. Storage for the 2.5-inch disks ranges between 16GB and 128GB, but transfer speeds are much higher through the use of single-level cell (SLC) storage that boosts write speeds to the same 250MB per second rate as the read speed. The storage maker also promises a long-lasting drive with about 300,000 to 500,000 hours between failures, or at least 34 years.
The P200 drives also haven't received pricing but should be available at the same time as the C200.
