Two seperate sources at Electronic Arts have informed me that there is a huge EA Partners deal that will be announced on August 14th. The actual partner remains a mystery, but one source said, simply, “people will be impressed.”
Given that, most recently, EA has managed to partner with two of the biggest developers on the planet, Valve (for Orange Box) and Id (for Rage), we have a feeling that it’ll be a partner on that level. The only confirmation we’ve been given is that it’s not Double Fine, despite our hopes and dreams on that front.
